From the open fields in the countryside to the street of the urban arena – we here at Bulang and Sons are constantly picking up inspiration from our various adventures and endeavors. A true menswear icon led us to create the M-65 Collection.

Our own collections are always very dear to us. They don’t happen every other day, since we’re not following regular fashion or product cycles. We take our time, as we’d rather present something special when we feel it is perfect and ready to enrich our customers’ lives.

The M-65 Collection is that something special. Based on an iconic military cut, the M-65 Field Jacket has been worn around the world for the bigger part of a century. Now it becomes part of our exclusive portfolio – with some twists and extras that make it a Bulang and Sons product.

That certain personal Twist with the M-65

As watch collectors and purveyors of fine style, we have a soft spot for things that carry a history, especially those that over time evolve from simply functional items to true design icons. And the M-65 represents just that: a jacket that has so much history, it’s become timeless.
Initially constructed as an army utility jacket, the M-65 has long left the battlefield to become a fashion staple for the ages. From couture icons like Ralph Lauren or Yves Saint Laurent to streetwear brands like Supreme or Stüssy: the humble cut of the M-65 is here to stay.

The M-65 is the definition of a menswear classic because it can be worn and combined in pretty much every way, from elegant to sporty and from rugged to smart. And for us, any style in between is where it gets really interesting. Bulang and Sons have long been advocates of a certain pleasant friction.
For us, a defined classic is used best when it is combined with a kind of personal twist. It is the most fun to break the rules when you have learned to follow them first. That’s the point where fashion becomes style, and menswear turns into an expression of character.

The diverse approach

The rich aura and long history of the authentic M-65 jacket has inspired us to shape an exclusive and highly limited Bulang and Sons collection in three different parts that follow a sophisticated concept of inspiration, upcycling and customization.
To honour the starting point of this whole collection, we have customized a number of original vintage M-65 field jackets. You can read more about these exclusive jackets here.

Working on these jackets gave rise to the second part – taking the beautifully aged rip-stop material from the jacket liners and upcycling it into a batch of unique straps. Offered in a set, these watch straps offer very individual looks.
