Strap Guide – The Rolex Explorer 2 White Dial 16570

The Polar Express

Maybe one of the most niche of sports Rolex, the Explorer 2 was developed for spelunkers – cave explorers who might spend long periods away from natural daylight. For them, the 24-hour hand and fixed 24-hour bezel was a potential life saver! The 40mm Oyster case and sapphire glass are classic Rolex sports watch, but a bright white dial gives this watch a cool twist that we love. It’s a very black and white watch with black numbers on the bezel, hands and hour marker surrounds against the white dial. The red 24-hour hand is a lovely pop against this colour scheme.

Rubber, leather or nylon – however you roll we have you covered with both two piece and nato-style straps for you to choose from. Please note that with modern sports Rolex we advise you to take out the spring bars, place the strap in position on the strap and then reinstall the bars to ensure that no scratches occur on the leather. The gap between the spring bars and case is much narrower than on a vintage watch and so installing the nato-style straps has to be done in this way. We cannot be responsible for any damage that occurs when changing the strap. Straps that are damaged by incorrect installation cannot be returned to us.
