This is a very desirable large size Cartier Helmet watch- also known as “Ronde Squelette” , “Gouvernail “ or “Timone” We believe it might be unique on this bracelet and only a couple of others in different configurations have ever appeared on the market, always at auction houses in important sales. We are very pleased to be able to offer this incredible nice and extremely rare Cartier on Bulang and Sons.

The 34mm yellow gold case remains in very good condition with an outer ring holding the inner case with four balls. The winding crown passes through the ball at three o’clock. The white dial is signed Cartier France and has a delicate railroad track and blued hands. The watch has a matte, six-link yellow gold bracelet that is stunning and is stamped ‘12126’. The European Watch Company manual wind movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.

There are smaller versions of this watch that have come to market, in ladies size and on leather straps, but very very few in this 35mm size and only this one on this bracelet type, that was sold by a very prominent dealer many years ago. We understood that around 34 of these oddball -Helmet watches were made in different metals and sizes… talk about RARE !! We would be delighted to discuss this very special watch in more detail. We offer a one-year warranty on the mechanical function of the watch, starting from the day of purchase. We do not guarantee the waterproof nature of any (vintage) watch, unless expressly made in writing. Therefore, our warranty will not cover any damage done to the case and/or movement by water or moisture entering the watch. Our warranty does not apply to accidental damage or mishandling of your watch and does not extend to the bracelet, case parts (including pushers, winding stem, crown and bezel), watch glass, dial and hands.
