The Inside Story
Despite being less well known than other major Swiss watchmakers, Favre Leuba holds the remarkable distinction of being the second oldest in the world, established in 1737, and has been a true innovator by offering very innovative watches for the professional market.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, along comes an altimeter watch! This cool tool, from the 1960s, integrates an altimeter and barometer, which allowed the wearer to measure their altitude and air pressure. Super useful for mountaineers and other explorers.
The 40mm case is in great condition as is the well-preserved rotating bezel that measures altitude up to 3000 meters. The watch houses a striking light blue dial with small seconds sub-register at 6 o'clock and a red barometer hand. The watch is fitted with the pictured Bulang and Sons strap ( what a match !). The hand wound driven movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Our Warranty
We offer a one-year warranty on the mechanical function of the watch, starting from the day of purchase. We do not guarantee the waterproof nature of any (vintage) watch, unless expressly made in writing. Therefore, our warranty will not cover any damage done to the case and/or movement by water or moisture entering the watch. Our warranty does not apply to accidental damage or mishandling of your watch and does not extend to the bracelet, case parts (including pushers, winding stem, crown and bezel), watch glass, dial and hands.
