The Mellow Patina Black Zenith Daytona
Baselworld 1988 was a key year for Rolex as they unveiled their new Daytona. Bigger than its earlier manual-winding forefathers, the new Perpetual Daytona was 40mm with a sapphire crystal and it was automatic – the first such watch from Rolex! We are pleased to offer this black dialed version dating to 1998 in great all-round condition. The black dial is in perfect condition and the sub dials have taken on a nice mellow patina over time…this really is a very good looking watch! The dial has tritium lume and the ‘6’ in the hours register the correct way up – traditionally this was known as a Mk4 dial. The original solid link Oyster bracelet, ref 78390, is in good condition with a clasp stamped ‘U11’ and 503b endlinks, and polished middle-links. Read all about Zenith powered Daytonas here.
