The ’69 Mk2 Meters First Rolex Red Sub Date
For many collectors, the so-called Red Sub is an important milestone in vintage collecting. Today we are able to offer a stunning example of the iconic watch that would make any collector smile. The case of this 1969 example is outstanding with thick even lugs and crown guards. The mk2 meters-first dial is flawless, having taken on a charming vanilla patina that matches the hands beautifully. The bezel insert has fat fonts and has naturally faded – the effect against the dial is awesome. The folded link Oyster bracelet, reference 9315, is in very good condition with a clasp stamped ‘3/72’ and 580 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
