The Inside Story

Launched in 1965 the 62MAS was the first Seiko to be depth rated to 150m (previous watches were only rated at 50m).

To find one of these watches in such beautiful condition is rare as whilst Seiko utilised a screw down case back and tropic crystal, they omitted a screw down winding crown relying instead on gaskets to seal the push in winder.
This often led to the watches flooding and so finding one that has remained moisture free all its life is a coup!

This watch features a cool grey sunburst dial with lume-filled oblong hour markers, housed in a 38mm case.
The watch has a super cool well-worn sixty-minute insert in the bi-directional bezel.

The case is in great condition with no pitting on the case or screw down case back. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and will come on a Bulang and Sons Nautical strap.

The Seiko 62MAS has the winding crown at 3 o’clock unlike most other Seiko dive watches where it’s at four o’clock. We love tool watches, we love dive watches and we most definitely love this 62MAS! Get in touch.
