Grahame Fowler visit.. New York, New York
Much to late i am writing this report of my trip to visit Grahame Fowler and his shop/studio last autumn. But the overwhelming succes of Bulang & Sons and great creative projects in the design agency asked for all the time the last 2-3 month.
So better late then never i am proud to show you the images of this amazing trip.
I have not been to New York for an while. And never thought the different skyline would be so obvious. But more important i feel New York as much friendlier, more open en more welcoming then during my last visit. My hotel was in Greenwich Village which feel more like a small town. Very relaxed. At arrival i went straight to Grahame Fowlers shop.
Such a cool place. Every inch screens inspiration. In the heart of Greenwich it sets such a nice tone of british heritage with a cool twist.
A lot of his collection, Tricker shoes, jackets, shirts,.. eye candy everywhere. And what i loved most are all the cool items all over the place.
We are proud that Grahame is one of our collaboration partners and we are able to present you a selection of his cool work. I know Grahame now for about 5 years. He is a collector by heart. And when you see his place and studio its a very wide subject in his life 😉
He has a crazy collection of vintage Lambretta scooters and amazing items from that lifestyle. But he also is a watch collector with an great collection as shown recently at the Hodinkee video ..
When you are in New York you really need to visit his shop!
At 138 West 10th Street.

In the evening we had a great dinner with Panerai. The Panerai boutique in New York had organized a great dinner for some clients… and right off the plane.. up for 20 hours i walked to that amazing place. Completely underdressed and close to knock down i was spoiled with great food and company by them. But also by the display of their new watches for 2014. Big thanks for the warm welcome and great talks! After about 26 hours i needed a sleep… but…
For me traveling always means bad sleep and up real early. But i also means that you can walk the streets of New York in the early morning. When the city is getting awake. I always love the energy of these moments…
I loved that walk in the morning. Coffee on the road.
The second day Grahame picked me up to visit his studio, where everything happens. A cool place in Queens. But first things first.. Grahame had to unload a new ‘vintage’ Lambretta and roll it up the studio. Lets talk about patina…
His studio is a great place. Where i as a designer feel at home right away. Cool to see a lot of the handwork and all the inspiration. We talked about some new projects together. Soon to be continued.
Just breath the atmosphere and you know the products are all made by passion.
