Vintage Gay Frères Ladder Bracelet
The Inside Story
Gay Freres, or GF as it is known, was established in 1835 and went on to become one of the most important watch bracelet makers in the world. They provided watch bracelets for a number of prestigious brands including Rolex, Patek Phlippe and Zenith. In fact, so important was the brand to Rolex that as part of their ‘industrial rationalisation’ in the 1990s, they bought GF in 1998 and they continue to operate producing bracelets.
We are offering a vintage ladder-style bracelet in stainless steel. The bracelet features an adjustable clasp that slides out to adjust the length. At its shortest it measure 15cm. It features straight endlinks that measure 20mm across. These can by filed down to make them narrower as was done when sold by jewellers.

Handmade essentials
Our watch essentials are handmade in Italy. Each item is an individual piece with its own structure and colour which may differ slightly from the one on display in our online shop.
Care instruction
Our watch essentials are made of the finest natural materials. If they are made of leather you can be sure there is no chemical coating or waxing on top, which is why they are so very soft and full of character. This natural quality also causes aging of the material as time passes. Every item gets its own individual patina, which is something we love. Please don’t treat the leather with oil or wax as it ruins the whole nature of the product.
This also comes with a warning: avoid direct contact with water, as it may cause stains. We recommend not watering plants next to these watch essentials.
