Cartier Diabolo CPCP 18kt Yellow Gold Ref 1460 handwound

This is an unusual Cartier with round case and officer-style bold lugs.

The Diabolo name comes from the winding crown , that is reminiscent of the Diabolo -toy kids had in the past ! Most Diabolos are quartz, but this is a manual wind version that was released under the quite limited Collection Prive Cartier Paris (CPCP) and as such is very desirable for Cartier collectors.

The case is in good condition, and the watch feels heavy due to the officer-style lugs with bullet-form ends. The white dial has beautiful guilloche finishing, enamel Roman numeral hours, a 24-hour inner ring and Breguet style blued hands.
The big winder has a blue cabochon. The watch will come on the pictured Cartier leather strap with 18kt yellow gold Cartier buckle. The calibre 9P2 manual wind movement is based on a Piguet ebauche and it has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
