The Inside Story

VINTAGE WHITE GOLD HAMILTON VENTURA DIAMOND DIAL ELVIS WATCH

This Hamilton Vetura was a milestone in the development of the wristwatch, as it was the first electric watch released in 1957. Before the advent of quartz watches, this battery-powered watch was a key moment in time! It has become a cult classic, with a celebrity following including Elvis Presley and Will Smith in the movie Men in Black. This vintage Ventura is a large size, 14k white gold asymmetrical case with fancy lugs and the watch has a light engraving on the caseback. The dial is an original silver dial with diamond hour markers on the ‘even hours’. The hands are all original, including the red-tipped seconds hand, and the original winding crown is still present. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
