The Swedish war effort watch…
In the Second World War, the Swedish government ordered a series of Omega watches to sell exclusively to the Swedish people to help support the war effort. Cooler than war bonds, right?
This antimagnetic Suveran (Swedish for Sovereign) has a 35mm steel case that is in great condition with a screw case back stamped “ANTIMAGNETISK, VATTENTAT, STÖTSKYDDAD, 1/11 1944”. The watch houses a grey dial with painted Arabic hours, a small seconds and a glossy black railroad minute track.
This rare and interesting Omega will come on the pictured Bulang and Sons leather strap. The manual wind movement calibre 30T2 has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
