The Patek Calatrava reference 96 is regarded as the watch that saved Patek Philippe in the early 1900s. Having hit financial troubles, in the early 1930s the Stern brothers, the famous dial making duo, bought the controlling stake in Patek.
The company is still run by the Stern family, and it was their first wristwatch, the reference 96 that revived the brand and led it being what it is today.

The creamy silver dial has a large subdial for the running seconds and very attractive applied hours.
The dauphine hands give the watch a very elegant touch. The 96 was the first Calatrava and is the archetype of the dress watch and we seriously love it! Despite the design being nearly a century old, the watch looks as relevant today as ever. The watch comes on the pictured leather strap and the manual wind movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
