The in-house revolution…In 2000 Rolex introduced their first fully in-house chronograph movement, the calibre 4130 with the launch of the 116520 Daytona. The now discontinued reference 116520 has recently become highly sought after by collectors and this full set example is about as good as it gets. This black dial example remains in outstanding condition with a strong case and perfect condition dial.
The watch is accompanied by the original USA papers, that state the black dial and illustrate that the watch was sold in Denver in 2004. This package also includes both inner and outer boxes( outer box has some marks from storage), wallet, booklet and service papers from 2015. The solid link Oyster bracelet reference 78490 is in fantastic condition and features solid end links (SEL) and a clasp stamped ‘CL 5’. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
