Tudor Submariner Date Blue Dial "Lollipop" Ref. 76100
The Inside Story
The 76100 Sub is quite intriguing. It’s one of the "low production" transitional pieces that Tudor had. The 76100 was produced exclusively with a date function and served as a bridge between the 9411/0 and the 79090 Submariner Dates. What’s particularly interesting is that it appears to have been made alongside the 9411/0.
Visually, it closely resembles the later 79090 (featuring the triangle marker matte dial), but it stands out with a unique ‘Lollipop’ hour hand. It’s almost as if Tudor didn’t want to return to the Mercedes-style hand. The downside was that the ‘Lollipop’ hand featured a large area of tritium, which was prone to cracking and breaking, but it certainly gives the watch a distinctive, cool look!
This example showcases a stunning blue dial with a mellow yellow patina, a solid, thick case, and a beautifully aged mid-blue bezel insert. We absolutely love it! Our Warranty
We offer a one-year warranty on the mechanical function of the watch, starting from the day of purchase. We do not guarantee the waterproof nature of any (vintage) watch, unless expressly made in writing. Therefore, our warranty will not cover any damage done to the case and/or movement by water or moisture entering the watch. Our warranty does not apply to accidental damage or mishandling of your watch and does not extend to the bracelet, case parts (including pushers, winding stem, crown and bezel), watch glass, dial and hands.
